There are two situations for the PTZ wiring and functioning:

Hikway AHD PTZ

Method 1: MDVR connects to PTZ through RS485

1. First connect the Vehicle PTZ camera to 12V power.

The wiring method is "RS485+ of PTZ connected to RS485A of device I/O serial port, RS485- of PTZ to MDVR RS485B"

2. Enter the menu-settings-serial port settings-serial port

Set the serial port configuration to RS485 corresponding to the wiring

Set the baud rate to 2400 (control the baud rate of the PTZ)

3. Enter the menu-settings-serial port settings-PTZ

Change the access channel of the PTZ to(e.g. CH 1):

Press the PTZ of the remote control first, and then press the up, down, left, and right buttons to control the direction of the pan/tilt. Press "ZOOM-" and "ZOOM+" to control the image zoom.
